Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about the Wawe AI platform. Can't find your answer? Sign in and reach out via the in-app feedback form.
How do I get access to Wawe AI?
Wawe is currently in pilot. Register at /signup with your institutional email. The team reviews requests and grants access manually — you'll receive an email notification once approved.
Do I need a bioinformatics or cheminformatics background to use Wawe?
No. All workspaces are designed for natural-language interaction. You ask questions in plain English and the AI handles tool selection and execution. Domain knowledge helps you frame better questions, but no scripting or computational expertise is required.
What file formats does Wawe accept?
Protein structures: PDB, mmCIF. Ligands: SDF, MOL2, SMILES strings. Sequences: FASTA. Lab data: CSV, TSV, Excel. You can also paste SMILES or PDB IDs directly in the chat.
How long do docking jobs take?
Standard docking jobs (single receptor + up to 10 ligands) typically complete in 2–5 minutes. Larger virtual screening runs (100+ compounds) may take 15–40 minutes. MD simulations take 10–60 minutes for 10 ns runs. FEP calculations are the most compute-intensive and may take several hours.
Are my data and results private?
Yes. All data uploaded to Wawe is stored under your account and is not accessible to other users or used to train models. Data is encrypted at rest and in transit. Contact us for a full data processing agreement.
Can I export my results?
Yes. Every workspace allows result export. Docking poses can be downloaded as PDB/SDF files. ELN entries export as signed PDFs. Chat sessions and run histories can be exported as Markdown or JSON.
Can multiple researchers collaborate on the same project?
Shared project spaces are on the roadmap. During the pilot, each researcher has their own session history. Team-level sharing and PI oversight views are available through Wawe Grid for approved organisations.
What happens if I lose my session?
All sessions are auto-saved. You can resume any previous conversation from the session history panel in the sidebar of each workspace. Sessions from the past 7 days are shown by default.
Which external databases does Wawe connect to?
Biology Space integrates with UniProt, PDB, NCBI (PubMed, Gene), ChEMBL, OpenTargets, and GEO. Chemistry Space uses ChEMBL, PubChem, and Reaxys (read-only). Work Station fetches structures from RCSB PDB.
How do I report a bug or request a feature?
During the pilot, use the feedback form linked in your welcome email or contact your Wawe account manager directly. We aim to respond within one business day.
